SFMLab is currently in READ-ONLY mode

SFMLab will soon be migrated to a new codebase. In preparation for this, we have temporarily disabled some site functionality, namely the features listed below. This is necessary to ensure the move will not lead to accidental data-loss. You should still be able to download existing files available on the site.(although the EU server will suffer from reduced availability)

SFMLab will stay in read-only mode until the end of February, when the migrations are set to conclude.

Dark Elves

18+ Warning

This file contains adult content! By downloading this file you agree that you are at least 18 years of age and wish to see such material.

NOTICE: Due to the nature of this particular release, any updates will be released as separate downloads, and will be appended to this description. Updates can include fixes or additions to hairs, outfits, skingroups, or new elves.

  • On the Bodymorph body I am attempting to use as a self-made standard. Any post-Frozen Bodymorph bodies and their outfits will be almost fully compatible with these models
  • Six unique elf models
  • Two "skin families": dark and light
  • Eight eye colors: four intended for the dark family, four intended for the light family
  • Skin variants for culled hands, feet, and both (for the purposes of fitting outfits on; skins are an alternative to bodygroups that have the benefit of not having seams at the cost of being uglier to work with). Every iteration of 8 skins is a feet/hand/both variant (EG skin 9 is the same as skin 1, but without feet; skin 17 is the same without hands; skin 25 is the same without either)
  • Six provided outfits, with two variants for the Mage outfit; every outfit has full bodymorph support
  • Seven provided hair styles, with six color variants for each; every (applicable) hair has full bodymorph support
  • A consistent three-spawn-snap method: spawn an elf, spawn an outfit, spawn a hair, and snap them together. Outfits have variant models with different states of undress. Done this way to allow for bodymorphs (disallows bodygroups) and to allow easy snapping (the alternative is each part is its own model; in testing, this mean spawning and snapping 9 models for the Blades outfit)
  • Full face-, finger-, and eye-posing for each elf
  • Beyond the issues inherent with the Caliente body used, the hairs are rigged a bit queer. This is a known issue, and one I hope to resolve in a later update. I didn't want to delay this release any longer for something ultimately so trivial.

  • Fix existing hairs
  • New hair styles
  • New outfits
  • More hair colors?
  • More eye colors?
  • More skin variants?

HOW TO USE MODELS (provided with the download):

  • Search for "bodymorph" to find the elves, hairs, and outfits.
  • Spawn the elf, outfit, and hair you wish to use.
  • In the Animation Set Editor, drag the elf onto the outfit, and then onto the hair, to automatically assign locks.
  • In the Motion Editor mode, select the outfit and apply the "Zero" preset. Apply "Zero" to the hair. This will fit them to the elf.
  • Apply Bodymorph flexes to the elf as desired.
  • Select all of the Bodymorph flexes on the elf. In the Motion Editor mode, right-click in the green/orange region and select "Copy Samples."
  • Select the outfit, right-click in the green/orange region, and select "Paste Samples." Repeat for hair. This will apply the (copied) flexes to the outfit and hair.
  • Apply IK rig to the elf.
  • Pose as desired.

Hair textures aren't showing up for me. There is stuff in the materials folder, but it doesn't seem to be finding them. Or maybe I fucked up on my end. But I reextracted everything just in case and they still didn't work.

you made my day!!! now trying to install.... seems a bit complicate

Hey Lord, The Hairs and the farmclothes.mdl arent working, they are missing material, they are black/magenta. Can you fix it, or did I something wrong? Anyway, this is realy a common upload to all of us, it must be a long and hard work to create such a upload! Thank you!

futanariafan posted 5 years, 3 months ago

FIX for missing hair textures: 1)Open: ...\Steam\SteamApps\common\SourceFilmmaker\game\usermod\materials\models\LordAardvark 2)Create a 'TeraOnline' folder. 3)Copy all folders from 'BodyMorph' to 'TeraOnline'. Unfortunately for farmclothes there is no required texture in an archive. :\

LesbianLover posted 5 years, 3 months ago

I just can't get the hair materials to work, I tried putting the BodyMorph folders into it, nothing happens.

VotiveCloud posted 5 years, 3 months ago

I can't imagine how much work went into this release! Thanks LordAardvark. @VoticeCloud are you sure you didn't cut/paste the Bodymorph folders instead of copying/pasting? I used LesbianLover's trick and it worked for me.

MikeyMack posted 5 years, 3 months ago

yeah i deleted the bodymorph folder and put all the files into a TeraOnline folder, still glitched out

So I love how the only time I get a large amount of comments is when something is wrong. I got on, saw these, and instantly knew I must have fucked something up. Updated. Due to the nature of the update, you have to download the entire fucking 140MB archive again. Delete those TeraOnline folders. Those are not supposed to exist, and I don't want you people having them as a legacy of my incompetence. The hairs were originally compiled for my old iterations of the dark-elves, pre-Bodymorph. I thought I had translated everything over to the Bodymorph construction, but apparently I missed the hairs. The farmclothes were never supposed to be included. They are also deprecated. The hairs were recompiled to point to the proper location, and the farmclothes removed. This is what happens when you upload a complex release at 2AM, boys and girls. Sleep deprivation: not even once.

thanks for fixing aardvark, love your work.
