Huge update, read the changelog if you're interested.
Scales are smaller, and skeletons are totally different. If you were working on something, this version will definitely break it.

You can get temporary model overrides for the old skeleton and scale, to continue working on whatever you were doing until you're ready to switch. Additionally, you can get separate model overrides that scales everything back to TF2 like it was before, but with the new skeletons. This second pack is mainly for convenience when working on TF2 or similarly scaled maps, also jigglebones can't scale with the SFM scale controls so this may be necessary for animators.

All the new features have been applied to both sets of overrides, so pick and choose whatever you need, it's all there. Make sure to replace the materials for the eyeballs if you get an override, the new values in the VMT files are needed to work with the different scales.

All supplementary files are now in a single extra download, control groups, IK rigs, particles, etc. You can find that below, but what you need for this specific submission is also in the main download.

This is a cleaned up and enhanced version of Link from Hyrule Warriors.
Has had a ton of work done from the base import to be as user friendly with SFM users as possible.

There is a huge list of features to utilize with this model, to meet all your potential needs.
All 3 of Link's alternate outfits are included in this download. Hero Tunic, Trainee Outfit, and the Postman Outfit.
DLC skins are not included because those are just cheap imports from the older games.

All costumes include a wide range of HWM-ish (no dominator rules) flexes, facial bones if you'd rather use those, IK rig compatibility, skeleton synchronization (any animation or pose you make on one model works on all the others), and a toggleable Dark Link skin. All weapons and items contain a Dark skin as well.

Additionally, all costumes use a single custom IK rig that has been specially made to function correctly even when using the Power Gloves, it is included in the download, as well as an optional Control Groups file to allow SFM to identify and properly group all of Link's unique bones.

The control groups files goes in SourceFilmmaker\game\platform\cfg\
Ideally, copy the contents of the bottom of the file provided into your own sfm_defaultanimationgroups.txt file, but if you have never modified this file before, it is safe to just replace it completely with the one in the download.

Hero Link:

  • Cleaned up AO in textures to allow for extended bodygroup options
  • Scarf, Pauldron, Harness, Pouches, and Cap can be bodygrouped off to get a more casual look
  • Paintable tunic in 2 different styles (This will cover all the costume's alt colors naturally)
  • Extensive Hair, Cap, and Scarf jigglebones that react naturally to gravity
  • Premade hand poses and phoneme presets
  • Integrated Power Gloves with bonemergable attach points for the Ball and Chain weapons
  • Dark Link skin

Trainee Link:

  • Cleaned up AO in textures to allow for extended bodygroup options
  • Harness and Pouches can be removed to get a more casual look
  • Cap, Scarf, and Pauldron can be bodygrouped on if you want to use them on the outfit
  • Paintable outfit on skingroup 2
  • Extensive Hair, Cap, and Scarf jigglebones that react naturally to gravity
  • Premade hand poses and phoneme presets
  • Integrated Power Gloves with bonemergable attach points for the Ball and Chain weapons
  • Dark Link skin

Postman Link:

  • Cleaned up textures slightly in certain areas
  • Flag has jiggles and a dedicated bone, can be bodygrouped off if desired
  • Postman Hat can be bodygrouped off to reveal Link's hair
  • Extensive Hair jigglebones that react naturally to gravity
  • Paintable outfit on skingroup 2
  • Premade hand poses and phoneme presets
  • Integrated Power Gloves with bonemergable attach points for the Ball and Chain weapons
  • Dark Link skin

Classic Link:

  • A custom harness can be bodygrouped on
  • Paintable tunic on second skingroup
  • Extensive Hair and Cap jigglebones that react naturally to gravity
  • Premade hand poses and phoneme presets
  • Integrated Power Gloves with bonemergable attach points for the Ball and Chain weapons
  • Dark Link skin

Weapons:
All of Link's weapons from the game are supported and included with dedicated bonemergable weapon bones:

This includes Swords, Shields, Sheaths, Power Gloves, Balls and Chains, Magic Rods, Spinners, and as a bonus, the Copy Rods that Zelda uses (Since this is originally an item from Link's arsenal)

Additionally, the items contain many features to utilize, especially helpful for animators:

  • Spinners include premade animations for several types of spinning and even the blended attack animation
  • Magic Rods contain various flexes and bones to create all of the rod poses from the game
  • Preset poses to adjust the length of the chain on the Ball and Chain weapons
  • The Copy Rod's orbs can be scaled via flexing, and additionally, the orb can be easily bonemerged into the Hammer and Bird statues contained in the Prop Pack if you want them both in the same scene
