SOLVED: for anyone that has a similar problem as described in my post above (jigglebones distorting model), it seems that SFM loads some random data before the "0 seconds" mark, as well as some data at the end of your project (scroll back on your motion editor timeline so you can see) when you either load this model, or attempt to create your first frame. Seems this data is related to the jigglebones...once I deleted this random data, the model worked fine.

Stealth211

You might try reinstalling the materials folder. The detail textures are in "TheMask" folder which should go into the "materials" folder. Besides that, I'm not so sure. I lost the original files when my PC was wiped awhile ago. However, I downloaded the model and it works fine for me.
