Description

This was a map I extracted from the Garry's Mod Workshop. The Creator is Youmu Kompaktu/RedMser.

I had nothing to do with the development of this map, I just extracted this from the workshop. It works flawlessly in Source Filmmaker as far as I'm aware. Tested it a few times & no missing textures that I could find. There's an issue with some floating rocks that the creator never fixed, but they're minimal.

Since we have a lack of Forest-like maps I figured this would be nice for some people to use. There's also a small water-bog area. It's also dark, so it works well with lighting effects.

The file is just the map file itself, which is all you need. just put it in the "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\SourceFilmmaker\game\usermod\maps" folder and you're good to go.

Note from the creator: "About what is included, I tried to put everything in but there still was some stuff somehow missing, so I didn't specify and just kinda hoped it works for people... I used models from a ton of sources, some I don't even remember, so I couldn't be specific on stuff. It should work with EP2 only though!"

Oh you didn't get the "HDR is missing" that you require to recompile :) It's nice anyway ! For hunk overflow type that in SFM console before loading the map : r_hunkalloclightmaps 0 (it doesn't fix anything but it load the map anyway)

Fantastic! It's time for some of my old models to 'get back to nature'! Thanks for the upload!

I was originally just gonna keep this for myself, but I know SFM is really lacking in maps outside of TF2 themed ones, at least in comparison to Garry's Mod. I actually extracted a bunch of maps from the Workshop for my own use and this is by far the best working one. Thanks for shedding some more light on your work, Red. It's really a great map.

Hey, I made this a while ago and never went back to it because Hammer Editor really breaks down in every way if I try to edit it. I think it's 0.25 FPS or so, and compiling takes 20 minutes too, so yeah... Pretty hard to fix some floating props if you can't even work with the tools at all. I'm fine with you uploading it though, I know a ton of SFMers will profit of it, [just like I myself did](http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=395415007). About what is included, I tried to put everything in but there still was some stuff somehow missing, so I didn't specify and just kinda hoped it works for people... I used models from a ton of sources, some I don't even remember, so I couldn't be specific on stuff. It *should* work with EP2 only though!

I congratulate you for overcoming this shit: Hammer I myself am going to try to bring some maps but some do crash Hammer or SFM, and when it works it is the compiler that crash... So, well done !!!

It wasn't hard. I didn't even use Hammer. I found a program called "GMAD" that extracts Garry's Mod workshop files. Again, this one worked with pretty much no issue in SFM. Other maps I extracted were missing textures, the skybox, & one of them gave an "Engine Hunk Overflow" error.

Hi, I was going to use this map for a scene but when I got around to doing lighting I found that the trees in the map dont cast shadows? I made sure the lights have shadows enabled and I checked to make sure all Draw Game Entities and Draw Tool Objects were checked. Is there no option for the trees in the maps to cast shadows? do I need to find a substitute model to put in place so that a shadow does get cast in roughly the same shape?
