Microseam Fix

I have had a legitimate complaint about the knee microseam, and so I have held my word and have applied the dirty-hack fix. This is the cleanest of the dirty hacks, but it works.

This hotfix adds a new model, with the "_legs.mdl" suffix. You need to attach this to the model like an outfit, and then turn off the "legs" bodygroup on the core model.

This hotfix will not break any existing sessions.

It's been brought to my attention that my packager tool accidentally packaged the Prototype model.

Do not use Rebecca_RE0_DazV4-Prototype.mdl Delete that model and its related-name files. It is a deprecated model, inferior to the official Rebecca_RE0_DazV4.mdl. It was not supposed to be included in the download.

I am not going to reupload just to delete those 3 files.

DazV4 Update

Rebecca has been updated to DazV4. Rather than explain what that means by itself, let me just make a list of changes altogether:

  • Significantly improved range on genital flexes (can open much, much wider)
  • Genital flexes no longer have unlightable deformations
  • Completely new body textures & skin tone
  • Properly unified head & body textures
  • Corrected stripper outfit issues (no more stocking clipping through boots)
  • Added pulled-panties bodygroup to stripper outfit
  • Added glasses bodygroup & associated glasses bone for posing
  • Full bodymorph on base model (outfits do not currently support it)

She comes with a data file for the Outfit Loader script.

Like all DazV4 models, she has been compiled with "_dazv4" in all her file names. As such, she will not damage any existing projects with the older release. Note, however, that her body textures will be replaced.

The Medic and Suit outfits currently use the identical versions as were previously released. This will be fixed in a later update, and when done, those outfits will also have "_dazv4" in their name, much like the new stripper and leather outfits already do.

Note that, like all DazV4 models, there is a micro-seam around her knees. If it ends up being a game-breaking issue for you, please let me know! If it's just something you notice while examining the model, I'm not concerned. It's only if it actually ruins a final render that I am interested.

Also note that, unlike previous DazV4 models, Rebecca can have both the big_butt and pregnant flexes active at once, with no ill effects! This is a solution I need to propagate to other DazV4 models, probably just as a single mass-download hotfix, because that's a lot of models to push such a tiny update for...

Note that all of the other issues listed below, with the exception of the stripper outfit, are prevalent and plan to be fixed... eventually. Right now, this little cutie-pie gave me far more stress than I signed on for, and so I'm done working on her for a few days at least...


So I've been working on this version of Rebecca for god knows how long.

She's still not ready for a full release (hence the "Incomplete" tag) - there's a LOT of clipping issues, and a few rigging issues, I need to resolve, in addition to some features that need to be fully supported.

However, she IS currently usable, at about 95%. The issues she has might be annoyances, but they're nothing necessary game-breaking. She's "complete", just not "finished".

Before I break down her features, I do want to note this is a fundamentally different model than the previous Rebecca Chambers I released: that Rebecca was built using her Resident Evil 5 face, and the hair Plasmid made for his Rebecca Chambers, whereas this Rebecca uses her Resident Evil 0 face and hair (the original Resident Evil 0, not the HD remake, which once again changed her face)

With that being said, let's break down her features:

  • Full face-, eye-, finger-, and toe-posing
  • Full phoneme and automatic-lipsync support
  • Jiggleboned breasts, ass, and hair
  • DazV3 w/ corrector flexes for ass & genitals
  • Updated DazV3 IK script, with improved sorting (you will want to overwrite your existing DazV3 IK script with this one)
  • Bodygroups for arm tattoo, back tattoo, and two different tramp-stamps (neither shown in pictures)
  • Special internal flex for solving pussy clipping with full clothes at extreme angles (such as bending over)
  • Bodymorph & genital flexes
  • 4 unique outfits, each with special flexes to expose just her ass: Medic, Leather, Stripper, and Suit

Known issues:

  • The suit. Oh god. The suit. It has so many issues. The toes of the shoes collapse for reasons I don't know, the insides of the thighs clip, and a few issues.
  • Medic shirt clips with her armpits.
  • Stripper stockings clip through boots
  • Suit outfit has no bodygroups for exposing her breasts
  • Stripper outfit has no bodygroups for exposing her breasts
  • She has missing skinslots, which are meant for her bodywriting and runny-makeup skins, both of which are missing

For future releases:

  • Bodymorph support for the outfits
  • Fixing all of the known issues
  • Adding the images & gifs showing off the correctors to this release post

Special thanks to Ordagon for putting together the releases images from the raw stills I exported, while I rushed to write this post. I almost wasn't able to release her today - and then we'd have to have waited 48 hours, which is when I will next have the time to actually write this post.

And delaying her 48 hours just for a text post is silly.
