Scenebuild - Outdoor Terrain

Large preview image for Scenebuild - Outdoor Terrain

Description

Pretty simple model, to be used in scenebuilding outdoor environments.

Has a handful of flexes to apply some noise to the terrain, for subtle features. Combine multiple flexes to make the effect more pronounced.

Has a grid of bones throughout it that allow for manually deforming the terrain as extremely as you want, making either hills or valleys.

Comes with 12 skins, just lazily pulled from the nature/ folder of Episode 2, for different grasses and dirts. Has support for 32 skins, all conveniently named "01" to "32".

The flexes do not effect the outer edges, so you can put multiple pieces together and apply different flexes to give a larger, varied landscape, without having to worry about microtears. The bones, however, do affect the edges, though not to huge extents.

I will probably make new skins and release them for this eventually. No idea when that'll be.

How about colored sand? Purple, orange, blue to name a few? Or hive flooring like you would find in Alien: Colonial Marines or StarCraft Zerg flooring. Sci-fi elements.

For the love of god stop making gay ass curvy ass models and keep making these, only do props and scenebuilds and stop making other shit. Stick to what you're good at, man. :mike81:

amazing! but how do i keep the model from disappearing when its only partially offscreen? when I have the model tiled, one inevitably disappears when its on the edge of the screen...
