Description

A full release of my map for Source Filmmaker (20.09.2016 / 21.09.2016). Mass Effect 3 location of DLC "Citadel: Shore Leave" - Anderson's Apartment.

How to install ?

Unpack the archive to a folder "...\Steam\SteamApps\Common\SourceFilmmaker\game\" for example: D:\Steam\SteamApps\Common\SourceFilmmaker\game\me3_content_v2_for_sfm_2016

  • Start SFM SDK Launcher.
  • Click "Edit Search Paths For Selected Mod"
  • Activate the checkbox in front of the folder me3_content_v2_for_sfm_2016
  • Click OK
  • Done !

I write everything through Google translator and I find it hard to describe everything. This map is not compatible with the previous version. Saved only a proportion of premises. Most models have changed their ways. Most of the textures changed and reconfigured. The card itself has changed position in space. Many visual enhancements and all three mirrors work. > Oh cool! this might just be on my end, but when i take a picture that has one of the mirrors in it the mirror glitches out in the exported poster, does anyone else have this problem?

Mirrors on the Source Engine is not very stable. I have great difficulty was able to do them all at the same time worked and not blackened.

It looks nice, once you can find it. Normally when I load the old map it loaded in a way where the camera would already be in it. Now so you would have to go find it.

Huh, weird. I have both maps installed, the 1.0 one and the 2.0 one. Do you believe this could have had some conflict? I ask this because I really like this map, and I have no idea what is making that. Also, my 1.0 map doesn't have shader errors, and I tried rebuilding cubemaps, but no success.

UPDATE: "materials/mark2580/mass_effect_3/cubemap_new.vtf": can't be found on disk "materials/envmap.vtf": can't be found on disk This is what my console says. I have looked on the pack, and found cubemap_new on a different folder, but I couldn't find envmap. I think this is something that can happen to others :o

@PatrickGainher I really do not understand what the reason. I disconnected from SFM any content left only tf2 / hl2 + my map. No "pink and black" textures not seen. Error in the file materials\mark2580\mass_effect_3\me3_apartaments\concretebare2.vmt "$envmap" "mark2580\mass_effect_3\cubemap_new" should be replaced by "$envmap" "mark2580\mass_effect_3\envmaps\cubemap_new" But this error has nothing to do with the texture of "concretebare.vmt", where you have errors. Try to completely remove any old content from previous versions of the map. And connect only to this release.

@PatrickGainher By the way. SFM is not able to build of reflection itself. I am using for this Alien Swarm. The map used in part "fake" reflection, and those that generated buildcubemaps. http://i.imgur.com/MwQPwqN.jpg As you can see I do not have any artifacts. Within 1-2 days I will ask other users to check the map. If something is found, I will update the content.

I followed the installation instructions, but when I try to load a map, it doesn''t find any .bsp files under me3_content_v2_for_sfm_2016

@tenao Upload screenshots to normal services, I had to use a VPN. You have obviously not the latest version. I made a few fixes just yesterday. @NaiOni `me3_apartments_sfm_v2.bps` and `me3_apartments_sfm_v2_no_light.bsp` Do not use a filter on the game. He never properly worked in this program.

Great map, thanks for uploading! The only question I have is is it possible to get a different view from the apartment window? To have it just looking out at a Skybox or something?

mate, how can i make the mirror work? it shows right in the working camera, but if i switch to camera 1 it goes all gray, is there a way? or i just wasted 2 days of animating in front of that mirror??

I'm new to SFM and I really want to use this map, but keep getting this error: "cmodelloader map is invalid" I've looked up over 20 trouble-shooting sites and none of them have fixed the problem. Can someone help me with this?
