Contagion Dezombified


Two maps from Contagion, edited to remove a lot of the Zombie Armageddon trappings. Because sometimes, you just need a little less apocalypse in your life.

Marked as Incomplete/Beta because there's various bugs that I don't know enough about fixing - in particular there's a shedload of glitchy pop-in on Barlowe Square Daytime.

You'll need to mount the Contagion content in Source Filmmaker for this to work. Go buy it, it's pretty good.

Current Contents: Aurora Estates Cleansed, Barlowe Square Cleansed, Barlowe Square Cleansed Daytime

I tried loading the maps and I keep getting the error "Engine Hunk Overflow" followed by my SFM shutting down. If anyone else has got the same error or I'm the only one with it please leave a reply, thanks.

Will these maps work for those who don't have the models/materials for Contagion? I don't want to remove the files from my usermod folder would take quite a bit of time to do.

What you might want to do is make a folder titled 'contagion' in your common\SourceFilmmaker\game folder, then move the content there instead of your usermod folder. That'll make removal easier.

Oh, and yeah, I guess one would need to cut out the piece of map needed for posing since it takes like 2gb of ram to just run it and my SFM just shut off at 3.2 gb while I was trying to add a second light :\

"Add the following line to usermod/cfg/autoexec.cfg: r_hunkalloclightmaps 0" Dumb question...What do I add it to? I am new to sfm so dumbing it down a bit could be helpful. please and thank you.

You will need to get the contagion game, pull the content from that, and mount it into SFM for the maps to work.

I have a problem where the Aurora Estates map has a black skybox texture and all the buildings have no doors, help will be highly appreciated! :)
