Description

Aloy is the protagonist of Horizon Zero Dawn and the sole playable character throughout the game. - https://horizonzerodawn.fandom.com/wiki/Aloy

This is a port of Stealth2111's Aloy SFM1 model to SFM2. Done with Stealth2111's permission.

Features:

  • Original face and body morphs of Stealth2111's SFM1 model
  • Original body groups of Stealth2111's SFM1 model
  • Compatible with SFM2's Auto-Attach Rig (instructions below)
  • Renamed bones for body and finger so SFM2 sorts them automatically

Installation instructions:

Extract the content of the archive into your Half-Life Alyx\game\hlvr_addons\ currentaddon folder

Rigging Instructions

The Auto-Attach Rig won't work on the base pose of the model. You have to manually rotate the upper and lower leg bones a bit before applying the rig. Things seem to work fine afterwards. Also I would not use spine 3 for posing purposes, it deforms the model.

Body Group Instructions

The model has named body groups, but the names don't show up in SFM2 for some reason (they do in the model view). Also you have to manually disable the previous body group when enabling a new one by unchecking it. The "Arm Armor" Body Group switched between her having armor on her arms or not. The "UpperOutfit" group changes her upper outfit. Same goes for "Lower Outfit" and "Skirt". Deselecting all Upper, lower and skirt options will give you a nude model. Use the "Leg_Fix" or "Body-Fix" sliders if things clip/look strange.

Eyes

In SFM2 there don't seem to be sliders or a view target for the eyes. So you have to move them by rotating the eye bones sorted in the face group. Also she's a bit cross-eyed when you spawn her. My bad, I'll try to fix it later, but it works for now.

Version 2 Updates:

Fixed various shader definitions (especially her outfit) and added diffusion wrap to skin textures to simulate subsurface scattering. Fixed metal armor texture definitions to work properly with SFM2 lights.

This is my first port so it isn't perfect yet, but should function well enough, especially if lit with "projected lights". Any help/feedback is much appreciated to improve things. If I make improvements I will update the model. Thanks again to Stealth2111 for permission to port the model to SFM2.
